Namaste Literary Agency only accepts non-fiction manuscripts in the genres of spirituality, metaphysics, self-help, and health and alternative healing.

These manuscripts must be unique and break new ground. Manuscripts that essentially repeat material already in print will not be considered.

Manuscripts must meet the following criteria in order to be considered:

• All manuscripts must include a short synopsis of your work, as well as a statement of why your book is unique and what it will offer the reader. If you have credentials in the area you write about, please state them briefly.
• Do not send proposals, a marketing plan, or a bio.
• Manuscripts must be complete, well edited, and checked for spelling and typographical errors prior to being submitted. Send your manuscript one time only. Subsequent revisions will not be considered. Any necessary revisions will take place at a later stage if the manuscript is accepted for publication.
• We do not accept stories that relate an individual’s personal journey. Although we appreciate that these stories are unique and meaningful in the individual’s life, the book market is oversaturated with this theme.
• We do not accept manuscripts about the law of attraction. This topic is well covered by books already available in bookstores.
• We do not accept manuscripts based on or in some way parallel to A Course in Miracles simply because this has already been covered extensively in other books.
• We do not accept poetry or works of art.
• If you wish to submit a children’s book, it must already be illustrated. The format should be PDF, with text and illustrations fully integrated as they would appear in book form. The book must meet our criteria for spirituality and consciousness.

Kindly use the following format for all manuscripts:

• Include your name and contact information on the cover of your manuscript.
• Paragraphs should be indented the normal five spaces of Word or Pages.
• Use double spacing throughout.
• Chapter headings should be numbered, centered, and chapters should begin on a fresh page. Do not submit chapters in separate documents.
• Subheadings should be flush left, in bold, with an empty line both above the subhead and below
• Text should be unjustified, flush left.
• No extra line between paragraphs.
• Number each page.
• Use Helvetica 12 point or Times New Roman 12 point throughout.

Manuscripts should be submitted online to: namasteliteraryagency@charter.net. They should be in Word, Pages, or PDF.

We regret we are unable to acknowledge receipt of your manuscript due to the high volume of manuscripts we receive for review.

We will only respond to those writers whose manuscript we accept for agenting. If you do not hear from us within eight weeks, you should assume that your manuscript has not been accepted. Please do not contact us inquiring about the status of your manuscript.

Namaste Literary Agency appreciates your interest in our services and welcomes all manuscripts that fit the above guidelines. However, we use a very structured criteria for selecting those manuscripts we agent. If we do not choose to represent your manuscript, please do not take this to mean that you are not a good writer or that your work is unsuitable for publication. It simply means we are not the right agency to represent you.
